I've called Kansas City home for eleven years. For eight of them I made my living behind the wheel of a truck. It paid the bills, but it wasn't where I was supposed to end up.That became clear when I took an intro to technology course in college and something clicked. I found coding shortly after through a passion project I'm not ready to talk about yet; but it changed everything for me. I realized I didn't just want to use technology. I wanted to build it.
So that's what I'm doing now. I still drive, full time, but every spare hour goes toward learning, building, and executing. I'm not waiting until conditions are perfect. I'm building while I go. I build things that are meant to be used, not just admired. Before styling, I think about the skeleton. If something is confusing to use, it isn't good enough. I'm less interested in trendy hacks and more interested in clean, maintainable architecture that holds up over time.
I've built a strong foundation in the core of the web: semantic HTML5, responsive CSS, grid, flexbox, and accessibility. Now I'm deep in JavaScript, working toward full stack development where business thinking and technical execution actually connect. This portfolio is a foundation. Every project here represents progression, not just in skill, but in thinking. I believe in improving deliberately and playing the long game.
